构成形容词最高级，我们在单音节的形容词和以-y结尾的形容词后面加-est，比如: fast – fastest, pretty− prettiest。

对于其它具有两个和两个以上音节的形容词，我们在形容词前面放上most这个词，比如: intelligent – most intelligent。

请注意，英语中还有几个不规则变化的最高级形容词，如 ‘good ----- best’ and ‘far---- furthest’。
