日本政府31日公布，日本4月失业率下降至4.4%，达到自1998年12月以来的最低水平。该数据优于预期。此前经济学家预期日本4月失业率将与3月持平于4.5%。外电报道如下：Japan's unemployment rate fell to 4.4 percent in April, the government announced Tuesday.
The unemployment rate fell 0.1 point from 4.5 percent in March. The latest result suggested improvement in the labor market as the nation's economy continued a mild recovery.
The April figure was also better than the 4.5 percent forecast by economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires.

据悉，日本4月总失业人数也比2004年同期减少25万人，至310万人，并为连续第23个月出现下降。日本失业人数的稳步减少显示出日本劳动力市场已随着该国的经济而展开逐步复苏。
