大家都喜欢坐摩天轮，观赏城市景色，用不了多久，北京也将建成自己的摩天轮，那么“摩天轮”怎么说呢？

Beijing started to build the world's largest Ferris wheel, hoping to offer tourists a bird's-eye view of the city.

The Great Ferris, being built in Chaoyang Park of eastern Beijing, will stand 208 meters high to commemorate the 2008 Olympic Games, to be held in the Chinese capital next August.

全球最高摩天轮日前在北京朝阳公园正式破土动工，以纪念明年8月在北京举行的奥运会。高达208米的摩天轮建成后将成为北京又一标志性的观景旅游建筑。

摩天轮即 “Ferris wheel”；标志性建筑（摩天轮）“the landmark wheel”；（摩天轮的）轿厢“compartments”。
