重庆万州公交车坠江 搜救继续

10月28日上午10时08分，一辆公交客车在重庆市万州区长江二桥坠入江中，救援工作正紧张有序进行。

Based on inquires and footage from surveillance cameras along the route, it was estimated that the bus was carrying more than 10 passengers at the time of the crash, local authorities said in a statement.
当地政府在通报中表示，根据调查访问、调取公交客车沿线监控视频，初步确认当时公交客车上共有驾乘人员10多人。

Two bodies had been recovered from the water as of press time.
截至发稿时，已找到两具遇难者遗体。

初步调查显示，28日10时10分许，重庆万州区一辆22路公交车行至万州区长江二桥时，突然越过中心实线（crossed the solid center line），闯入对向车道，与一辆正常行驶的小轿车（collided with an oncoming car）相撞后冲破护栏坠入长江（broke through the guardrail and plunged into the Yangtze River）。

道路上的车道分界线一般分为白色虚线（broken white line）、白色实线（solid white line）、黄色实线（solid yellow line）。白色虚线是分隔同向车的，在安全的情况下可以变道（change lane）、超车（overtake）。白色实线也是分隔同向车的，不过不可变道。黄色实线是分隔不同向行驶的车的（ mark the center of a road used for two-way traffic），既可作分界线，也可做中心线，不可变道。

水下机器人先后两次下水，最终确认坠江车辆位于水下约68米处（the bus had sunk 68 meters below the surface），蛙人救援队、吊船（salvage lifting vessel）等专业打捞力量正全力开展工作。

目前，搜救船正在车辆坠江水域进行扫测，待车辆位置精确定位后，将根据打捞方案，派潜水员（professional divers）到水下定位起吊。

While the identities of the two bodies are being verified, the city government has organized community workers to interview neighborhoods to find out identities of possible victims.
在确认两名遇难者身份的同时，重庆市政府已经组织社区工作人员走访周边社区，查找公交车上其他乘客的身份。
