Photographs of Prince Charles showing him laughing with his family while bouncing his grandson Prince George on his knee have been released in London to mark the Prince of Wales' 70th birthday on Wednesday. In two official images released to mark Charles's milestone, the heir to the throne is pictured sitting on a bench with his grandson and seated beside them are the Duchess of Cornwall and Princess Charlotte. Standing behind the prince and his wife are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, with Kate holding Prince Louis, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The photographs are rare images of the prince with his three grandchildren, which will increase to four when Meghan gives birth next year. Charles is beginning his eighth decade from a position of confidence, with his charitable work in full swing, his sons forging their own public lives and Camilla by his side providing support.

CNN has filed a lawsuit against President Trump and several of his aides, seeking the immediate restoration of chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta's access to the White House. The lawsuit is a response to the White House's suspension of Acosta's press pass, known as a Secret Service "hard pass," hours after he engaged in a contentious back-and-forth with President Trump. The suit alleges that Acosta and CNN's First and Fifth Amendment rights are being violated by the ban. The suit was filed in US District Court in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday morning.

China's restaurant chain serving Shaxian county cuisine opened its first eatery in the US in October but closed three hours after it was officially opened as all the dishes on the menu were sold out. The newly-opened restaurant is at 818, 60th St. Brooklyn. In the past month, the restaurant has received an order every two minutes during busy hours. Originating in Shaxian county, Fujian province, the Shaxian Delicacies restaurant chain has been a great success in China, presenting customers with traditional snacks, such as peanut butter noodles and pork wontons. Now, these snacks are managing to capture the taste buds of foreigners. Early this year, the company set up its first overseas chain-eatery at Takadanobaba Station in Tokyo, Japan. And the store reportedly made 200,000 yen just five hours after its opening. The brand's industry development center claimed that over 10 countries, including Britain, Argentina, Australia and Canada, have shown interest in having the chain.

>China swells on TOP500 list

China expanded its share on a list of the world's fastest supercomputers, according to the 52nd edition of the supercomputer TOP500 list released in Dallas, Texas, on Monday. The number of supercomputers installed in China increased from 206 in June to 227 now, accounting for 45.4% of the total, according to the ranking. The number of supercomputers that call the US home, by contrast, continued to decline, reaching an all-time low. However, systems in the US are, on average, more powerful, resulting in an aggregate system performance of 38%, compared to 31% for China. The Top 10 supercomputers saw five US-built systems, with the top two captured by "Summit" and "Sierra". China's Sunway TaihuLight supercomputer is ranked third, with its performance of 93 petaflops. Tianhe-2A is now in the No 4 position, according to the ranking.
