9月22日是第三个“中国农民丰收节”。在节日到来之际，中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平向广大农民和工作在“三农”战线上的同志们致以节日的祝贺和诚挚的慰问。习近平强调，要在全社会形成关注农业、关心农村、关爱农民的浓厚氛围。
President Xi Jinping extended greetings to farmers and people working in agricultural and rural fronts before the third Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival that falls on Sept 22. Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, stressed the fostering of an atmosphere in the whole society where agriculture, rural areas and farmers are cared for.

中国农民丰收节于2018年设立，时间为每年农历秋分。"中国农民丰收节"是第一个专为农民设立的节日。设立这一节日反映了党中央对“三农”工作高度重视，以及确保农业繁荣、农村美丽、农民富足的决心。
今年的“中国农民丰收节”以“庆丰收、迎小康”为主题，进一步鼓舞了亿万人民攻克脱贫攻坚最后堡垒、补上全面小康突出短板的决心和干劲。今年丰收来之不易，克服突如其来的新冠肺炎疫情、长江流域严重洪涝灾害等不利影响，我国夏粮产量创历史新高，早稻实现增产，正在奋力夺取秋粮丰收。农业根基稳，发展底气足。面对风险挑战，我国发展韧性强劲、社会大局稳定，粮食和重要农副产品稳定供给功不可没。实践充分表明，对我们这样一个有着14亿人口的大国来说，农业基础地位任何时候都不能忽视和削弱，手中有粮、心中不慌在任何时候都是真理。越是形势严峻，越要稳住农业基本盘，发挥“三农”压舱石作用。

今年丰收来之不易，突如其来的新冠肺炎疫情、长江流域严重洪涝灾害、东北地区夏伏旱、连续台风侵袭给粮食和农业生产带来挑战。全国广大农民和基层干部发扬伟大抗疫精神，防控疫情保春耕，不误农时抓生产，坚持抗灾夺丰收，为保持经济社会大局稳定提供了有力支撑。
This year's harvest is hard-won, given that the country's agricultural production was challenged by a number of adverse factors, including the COVID-19 outbreak, serious flooding along the Yangtze River, the drought in northeastern China and typhoons in coastal areas. Farmers and officials working at the primary level managed to ensure spring plowing and agricultural production amid effective epidemic control. They fought against the disasters and strived to secure the bumper harvest, providing strong support for maintaining overall economic and social stability.
