一句印有 “I'll tell you who's boss, Kate Moss”的标语T恤衫,让《Vogue》美国版主编 Anna Wintour 都对亨利•霍兰德另眼相看。伦敦最当红的先锋设计师 Gareth Pugh 和 Giles Deacon 在08年时装周上,也分别穿上亨利自创的设计师品牌荷兰屋 出品的“VHV Gareth Pugh”和“Get Your Freak On Giles Deacon”的标语T恤衫谢幕,让亨利备受瞩目。

Introduction
Henry Holland is one of the UK’s coolest and most exciting young designers, having gone from working for teen magazines as a fashion editor to becoming a big name on the international fashion scene. Today, Holland discusses his inspirations and influences, talking about how his time at university shaped his career in fashion and how he went from writing about fashion to creating it.
About Henry Holland
Flung into the spotlight with his cheeky ’Fashion Groupie‘ slogan tee-shirt, Holland launched his own brand and has designed for celebrities as well as appeared in several fashion television programmes.
It was his simple slogan tee-shirt that was worn by designer Gareth Pugh in 2006 that drew the fashion industry’s attention to Holland. The huge popularity of the shirts enabled him to launch his own label called House of Holland, which now can be found in top-end fashion stores such as Harrods in London and Barneys in New York.
Born near Manchester, Holland graduated from London College of Printing with a BA in Journalism. His first foray into the world of fashion was as an editor at a teen fashion magazine. After establishing his own brand following the success of his tee-shirts, Holland has gone on to collaborate with many leading fashion suppliers and other companies, such as Levi’s, Debenhams, Swarovski and Blackberry. These deals enable Henry to boast his companies brand and attract more customers.
Holland’s collection debuted in 2007 and has now grown into an international operation, shipping to 20 countries and attracting a celebrity following including Katy Perry, Jessie J and MIA, who wore one of Holland’s outfits at the 2009 Grammy awards. House of Holland has become a regular feature at London Fashion Week and this year marks his 12th runway show.
Holland is well known for his long-time stylish celebrity friends who he is often photographed with out and about in London. Most recently, Holland has appeared on British television screens alongside popstar Rihanna in the reality programmeStyled to Rock. The programme focuses on fashion design and sees new designers competing against each other to create outfits to be worn by some of the most famous stars on the planet. Holland has big plans for his brand and is looking to take his bold designs and bright colours to a global level.
