Hay Festival is an international festival production company based in Wales . We celebrate great writing in every medium in Britain and around the world. All our Festivals are informal, accessible and great fun. Many of the conversations and performances with writers, musicians, film-makers and comedians are available
online and as downloads from our archive.Bill Clinton has commented on it as 'The Woodstock of the Mind'.
Hay-on-Wye is where the fun first started. Hay is a tiny market town in the Brecon Beacons National Park , It has 1500 people and 41 bookshops. The Festival is a spectacular holiday party for friends to gather and indulge their tastes for the finest books, food, drink, comedy, music, art, argument and literature.
The second edition of Hay Festival Cartagena de Indias will take place from 25 to 28 January 2007 featuring international authors from different parts of the world.
The International Ceramics Festival is one of the world’s most prestigious events for professional and amateur potters. It takes place every two years in Aberystwyth, Mid Wales, and for the 11th time it will be taking place from Friday 29th June until Saturday 1st July 2007.
More than 800 ceramicists and potters from around the world will gather to discuss techniques, watch demonstrations and share ideas.
Since the first event back in 1987 the festival has become a mecca for professional potters, teachers, students and ceramic enthusiasts from around the globe. Over three intensive days there’s a hectic series of demonstrations, kiln building and spectacular firings – traditional and experimental – are built and fired. There is always a choice of events for the visitor to see and/or take part in, plus exhibitions, trade stands, and bookstalls.
