The third Global Youth Leaders summit has been held in Dalian, a coastal city in Liaoning province, in the run-up to the Summer Davos.
More than 200 young leaders from politics, business and culture attended the Tuesday event. The meeting had speakers giving speeches from the center of the hall, not on the front-and-center podiums other meetings traditionally use. The young leaders discussed development, poverty, value and social issues.
The global youth leadership forum was founded by Klaus Schwab, the chairman of the World Economic Forum in 2004. It is one of the most important parts of the forum, granting one of the more coveted prizes of the youth summit.
Every year, the forum selects 200 to 300 youth leaders from 35-hundred candidates around the world.
