哪吒丸子头成今夏潮流

Those spunky double buns, which resemble a children's hairstyle in China, have made a comeback in recent years and even dazzled the runway.

近年来，一种类似中国孩童发型的精神抖擞的双丸子头又回归了，甚至登上了T台。

As the "Ne Zha" animation film is sweeping China with applause, more celebrities and fashionistas are trying out hair bun styles inspired by the mischievous character.

随着动画影片《哪吒之魔童降世》在国内口碑爆棚，越来越多名人和时尚达人开始尝试和影片中调皮的主人公哪吒同款的丸子头。

In the film, Ne Zha is the epitome of the rebellious but righteous youth. Though hated, feared and shunned as the reincarnation of a devil, he believes his fate is not predetermined and that he can choose to be a demon or a god.

影片中，哪吒是叛逆但正直的年轻人的缩影。虽然作为恶魔的化身，哪吒被憎恨、恐惧和逃避。但他相信自己的命运并非天注定，他可以自己选择成为魔或神。

The film has a score of 8.8 points (out of 10) on China's largest filming rating site, Douban.
该片在中国最大的电影评分网站豆瓣上的得分为8.8分(满分10分)。

Everybody has a song or playlist to help get them through a jog or workout. Can music boost your actual performance?

Costas Karageorghis at Brunel University London has pioneered much of the research in this field. He identified many ways in which music can improve physical performance.

The most immediately obvious benefit is the intense emotional connection with certain songs.

Travel to Taiwan by individuals from the Chinese mainland will be suspended starting Thursday, given the current climate of cross-Straits relations, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced in a news release on Wednesday.

文化和旅游部31日发布通知称，鉴于当前两岸关系，决定自8月1日起大陆居民赴台个人游暂停。

Mainland travelers who wish to visit Taiwan must now join tour groups, travel agencies said.

多家旅行社表示，大陆居民赴台湾地区旅游可采取团队旅游。

Individual travel to Taiwan was first permitted on a trial basis in June 2011 for travelers from the cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Xiamen.

2011年6月，大陆率先开放北京、上海、厦门的居民赴台个人游试点。

This was expanded to 47 cities, including Tianjin, Chongqing and Nanjing, over the following years.

此后几年，赴台个人游开放城市增至47个，天津、重庆、南京等城市均在列。

The suspension of individual travel documents to mainland travelers will affect the already slowing tourism market in Taiwan.

>US Fed cuts interest rates
美联储10年来首次降息

US Federal Reserve on Wednesday lowered interest rates for the first time since the 2008 global financial crisis.

7月31日，美国联邦储备委员会自2008年全球金融危机以来首次决定降息。

The Federal Open Market Committee, the Fed's rate-setting body, trimmed the target for the federal funds rate by 25 basis points to a range of 2% to 2.25%, in line with market expectation.

美联储利率设定机构联邦公开市场委员会将联邦基金利率目标区间下调25个基点至2%至2.25%的水平，符合市场预期。

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell cited signs of a global slowdown, simmering US trade tensions and a desire to boost too-low inflation in explaining the central bank's decision to lower borrowing costs for the first time since 2008.

美联储主席杰罗姆•鲍威尔表示，全球经济出现放缓迹象、贸易紧张局势升温以及希望推高过低通胀等是促使美联储做出这一决定的原因。

The Fed said it will continue to monitor how incoming information affects the economy and that it will "act as appropriate to sustain" the record-long US expansion.
