China has specified regional farmland use tax standards after quintupling the tax range on the use of arable land for non-farming purposes.

The average tax was set at 45 yuan per square meter in Shanghai, the highest in the nation.

国家日前明确了各个城市耕地占用税的不同纳税标准。与原来的规定相比，新条例将税额标准的上、下限都提高了4倍左右。上海地区成为全国纳税额最高的城市，平均税额为45元/平方米。

这里，耕地占用税表示为，“farmland use tax”；相应的，耕地占用税标准为“farmland use tax standards”。相关词汇有，耕地使用平均税额 average tax on farmland use
