英国辣椒加冕'世界最辣'

Nick Woods, a 39-year-old British man, has grown the world's hottest chili, infinity chili(see photo), the Daily Telegraph of London reported. The chili has made it into the Guinness Book of Records after out-spicing Bhut Jolokia, from India. "When I tried it, it tasted nice at first, like a fruity taste, the effect is delayed. Then it hit me. All of a sudden I felt it burning in the back of my throat, so hot that I couldn't speak....I began to shake uncontrollably, I had to sit down, I felt physically sick. I really wouldn't recommend anybody eat it raw like that."

据英国《每日电讯报》报道，39岁的英国人尼克·伍兹培育的辣椒新品种"无限"(Infinity)(见图)获得吉尼斯世界纪录认证，接棒产于印度东部的"魔鬼椒"，成为世界最辣辣椒品种。尼克说："我尝了一口，最初感觉味道不错，像水果，没有感到辣。后来，辣味开始发作，感觉喉咙后面突然烧了起来。太辣了，我一句话也说不出……我开始不由自主地颤抖，不得不坐下，感觉像生病。我真的不会推荐任何人生吃这样的辣椒。"
