Sarkozy gets new umbrella

French President Nicolas Sarkozy is to start using a ￡10,000 bullet-proof umbrella to protect him from attackers, the Daily Mail of London reported. The umbrella is coated in Kevlar, a very strong material originally used as a replacement for steel in auto racing wheels. It also includes carbon and silver, allowing it to reduce the force of bullets, as well as resist knives, acids and rocks. "He's had all kinds of missiles aimed at him from above, especially on visits to high-rise housing estates where he's particularly unpopular. This umbrella will keep him pretty safe," said a source at the police unit which tested the umbrella.(See photo)
