不要“以貌取人”

如果你穿着学生装在商场里看钻石首饰,营业员基本不会过来跟你搭话,因为她知道你根本买不起。虽然家长和老师一直教育我们不要以貌取人,但是真正做到却很不容易。“以貌取人”在英语中就叫做“judge a book by its cover”。
“Judge a book by its cover”的字面意思是“只看书皮就评价一本书”。人的外貌和穿着就好比书的封皮,封皮普通不意味着内容一般,长相和穿着好看同样也不等于人很善良。
看下面例句:
--He dresses in plain clothes and drives an old car. Who would know he is the richest man in town?
他衣着普通,开一辆破车,谁会想到他是镇上最有钱的人啊?
--You can't judge a book by its cover.
你不能以貌取人嘛。
