Austria: Evil parade

As for Christmas, what we first think of is the kind Santa Claus with a smile and a white beard. The Austrian way of celebrating Christmas is quite different. People will wear a terrifying mask representing Krampus during the celebration parade. Krampus is known to prefer corporal punishment and will scare and punish naughty children on the street.

提到圣诞节，我们首先想到的是笑呵呵一脸慈祥的白胡子圣诞老人。但是奥地利庆祝圣诞的方式却大不相同，人们会戴上凶恶恐怖的面具打扮成圣诞怪物Krampus在街上游行。圣诞怪物喜欢体罚，会在街上惊吓和惩罚淘气的小孩。
