习近平：确保中韩关系行稳致远

The leaders of China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on Thursday agreed to advance bilateral relations to ensure the long-term stability of their ties.
中韩两国领导人一致同意推动双边关系发展，确保中韩关系行稳致远。

会谈中，习近平主席就双边关系及朝鲜半岛问题发表了看法。

关于双边关系，习近平指出：

中韩是友好近邻和战略合作伙伴。
China and the ROK are friendly neighbors and strategic cooperation partners.

建交25年来，两国各领域交流合作取得显著发展，给双方带来巨大利益。
The two countries have made remarkable progress in exchanges and cooperation in various fields, which has brought tremendous benefits to both sides.

前段时间，由于众所周知的原因，中韩关系出现一些波折，给双方如何在相互尊重彼此核心利益基础上更好开辟两国关系未来，提供了镜鉴和启示。
There have been some twists and turns in China-ROK relations for reasons known by all, which have provided enlightenment for both sides on how to create a better future together on the basis of mutual respect for each other's core interests.

中方重视同韩方关系，愿同韩方一道，牢记两国建交的初心，以两国人民福祉为念，秉持尊重彼此核心利益和重大关切的基本原则，坚持以诚相待的为邻之道，把握互利共赢的合作宗旨，推动中韩战略合作伙伴关系始终健康稳定地走在正确发展轨道上。
China attaches great importance to relations with the ROK and is ready to work with the ROK to maintain the original intention of establishing diplomatic relations and take full account of the well-being of the two peoples. Both countries should uphold the basic principle of respecting each other's core interests and major concerns as well as the principle of treating each other as neighbors with sincerity. The two sides should adhere to the principle of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation to ensure that the development of bilateral relations is on the right track.

中共十九大给包括韩国在内周边国家同中国的合作带来更加广阔的前景。
The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has brought broader prospects for China's cooperation with its neighboring countries, including the ROK.

中韩要加强政治沟通，夯实互信基础。要发挥好高层沟通对两国关系的重要引领作用，加强各层级对话，用好两国立法机构、政党间交流机制。
The two sides should strengthen political communication, cement the foundation of mutual trust, and make good use of the exchange mechanism between legislative bodies and political parties of the two countries.

中方欢迎韩方参与“一带一路”建设，愿推动“一带一路”同韩国发展战略对接。
China welcomes the ROK's participation in the Belt and Road construction, hoping to promote the alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative with the ROK's development strategy.

双方要加强青年、教育、科技、媒体、体育、卫生、地方等领域交往，助力中韩关系实现长远健康发展。
Exchanges in areas such as youth, education, science and technology, media, sports, health and local affairs should be increased for the long-term and stable development of bilateral ties.

关于朝鲜半岛问题，习近平表示：

必须坚持半岛无核化目标不动摇，绝不允许半岛生战生乱，半岛问题最终要通过对话协商解决。
We must unswervingly uphold the goal of a nuclear-free peninsula and never allow war or chaos on the peninsula. China believes that ultimately, the Korean Peninsula issue could only be solved through dialogue and consultation.

中韩两国在维护半岛和平稳定方面有着重要的共同利益。
China and the ROK have important common interests in maintaining peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.

我们愿继续同韩方就维稳防战、劝和促谈加强沟通和协调。
China will continue to strengthen communication and coordination with the ROK on maintaining stability and preventing wars on the Korean Peninsula and promoting peace and talks.

中方也将继续支持半岛南北双方通过对话接触改善关系，推进和解合作，这有助于半岛问题的和缓和解决。
China supports the continued improvement of the relations between the two countries on the Korean Peninsula through dialogues and contacts, which will help ease tensions and finally settle the issue.
