Buyers from across China are on the alert as the countdown to two of the world's most important textile trade fairs begins.
Heimtextil India and Techtextil India, two of India's leading international home textile expos, are scheduled to take place between October 10 to 12 this year and already a record number of Chinese buyers and textile manufacturers are said to have committed to the events.
Organized by Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India Pvt Ltd and staged in Mumbai's prestigious Bombay Exhibition Center, the organizers claim the three-day event offers international buyers an unmissable opportunity to attend a one-stop event showcasing all of India's leading textile manufacturers.
As well as bringing together buyers and manufacturers, the event is also an opportunity for designers and suppliers to showcase the styles and innovations likely to dominate the 2010 market.
On top of attending the trade fair proper, delegates and exhibitors will also have the chance to explore Mumbai, the hub of India's textile industry. Organized tours of many of the city's production facilities are promised by the event management team, as well as business-to-business seminars and fashion shows.
Now in its tenth year, Heimtextil India is widely recognized as one of the most important international trade fairs in the home textiles and accessories market. According to its organizers, it is one of the key interchange points for manufacturers, retailers, distributors, suppliers and designers from across the sub-continent.
Launched as a sister event to Heimtextil in 2007, Techtextil, India's premier event in the technical textiles and non-woven sector, proved an immediate hit among buyers and suppliers in the country's fastest growing manufacturing sector.
A spokesman for the organizers said: "Through our simultaneous staging of these related events, we hope to create a one stop networking point for international buyers and sellers alike."
