Animal rights activists are furious about Nicole Richie wearing fur in public, and have chosen her as one of its Worst Dressed stars for 2006.
People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals said that while Lionel Richie's adopted daughter doesn't look as though she eats lots of meat, she is a voracious wearer of animals.
"This pelt wearing party girl is all animal skin and bones. Nicole's an incredible shrinking woman with the heart to match," the Sun quoted a PETA spokesperson, as saying.
Also on this year's list are famoustwin Ashley Olsen, Desperate HousewifeEva Longoriaand young starChristina Ricci.
"Wearing fur does add 20 pounds. But if Ashley wants tofill outher frame, we suggest using a fork instead," said PETA.
"And you'd think Eva Longoria would be more sympathetic to the plight of rabbits considering the way her character the way shescrews aroundlike one on Wisteria Lane," the group added.
However Richie's "The Simple Life" co-star Paris Hilton has fallen off the list after reportedly denouncing fur. PETA says the heiress ditched her mink coats, fox collars and chinchilla trim after watching a video expose of the fur trade.

动物保护组织“动物人道主义协会”说，歌王莱昂内尔·里奇的这个养女尽管看上去不像很爱吃肉，但对动物皮毛衣物却情有独钟。
《太阳报》援引“动物人道主义协会”一位发言人的话说：“这个喜欢穿皮毛衣物的派对女孩看上去像是动物皮毛包着的一堆骨头。她的良心和她骨瘦如柴的身材完全相称。”
同时上榜的还有美国著名的双胞胎姐妹之一艾什莉·奥尔森、“绝望主妇”艾娃·朗格利娅和新星克里丝蒂娜·里希。
“动物人道主义协会”说：“穿上皮毛大衣的确能让人看起来丰满一些。但如果艾什莉真想让自己丰满一点，我们建议她还是多吃。”
“照理说，朗格利娅在饰演了那个“食窝边草”的绝望主妇（和家里的园丁搞男女关系）后，应该更能理解和同情兔子的窘境，但结果也没有。”
与里奇联袂主演电影《简单生活》的豪门女星帕里斯·希尔顿由于公开反对穿皮毛衣物而有幸未被列入榜单。“动物人道主义协会”说，希尔顿在看了一盘揭露皮毛贸易的录像带之后，把她的貂皮大衣，狐狸毛领和栗鼠呢大衣统统收了起来。
