Superstition

Superstition, a belief or practice generally regarded as irrational and as resulting from ignorance or from fear of the unknown. 在老外眼力里，也有一些属于迷信性质的传统。

比如：
1. Some tragedy will befall a person who walks under a ladder.
如果谁要是从梯子底下走过去的话，那么厄运就要来了。

2. Thirteen is a kind a unlucky number.
十三一定是个不吉祥的数字。所以好多场合，老外都会避免13的出现。比如楼层没有13号。

3. Breaking a mirror indicates seven years' bad luck.
