詹妮思•克拉克斯顿舞团----广获荣誉的爱丁堡现代舞舞团，将与国际知名的北京雷动天下现代舞团合作带来独特的舞蹈作品《如歌》(SONGS)

2012年7月22日晚，作为“艺述英国——英国艺术及创意产业节”的活动之一，两大舞团将一同表演这一三合一的舞蹈作品，向已故的作曲家亨里克•格雷茨基（Henryk Górecki）致敬。

舞蹈由詹妮思•克拉克斯 （Janis Claxton ）和北京雷动天下现代舞蹈团艺术总监李捍忠设计编排，这一演出将拉开2012北京舞蹈双周展（Beijing Dance Festival ，BDF）的序幕。

克拉克斯顿舞团精编舞蹈作品（songs are sung）以格雷茨基（Gorecki）的 作品《弦乐四重奏#3》(String Quartet #3) 为背景音乐，是演出的重头戏。这部舞蹈作品源起于2008年克拉克斯顿（Claxton）创编的一段6人舞，克拉克斯顿舞团和爱丁堡弦乐四重奏团（Edinburgh Quartet）在苏格兰和威尔士进行巡演（songs are sung），广受赞誉。

SONGS is a unique collaboration between award winning Edinburgh based contemporary dance company Janis Claxton Dance (JCD) and the internationally renowned Beijing Dance / LDTX.

On July 22 2012 the two companies will perform together in a triple bill of works paying tribute to the late composer Henryk Górecki.

With works choreographed by Janis Claxton and LDTX Artistic Director Li Hanzhong the companies will open the Beijing Dance Festival (BDF) 2012.

The programme will feature JCD’s seminal dance work songs are sung set to Gorecki’s String Quartet #3. Originally choreographed by Claxton in 2008 for 6 dancers, JCD and the Edinburgh Quartet toured songs are sung throughout Scotland and Wales to wide acclaim;

With support from Creative Scotland’s Dance Links:China initiative, Claxton reset the work for BeijingDance / LDTX for the2010 Guangdong Modern Dance Festival and Director Willy Tsao subsequently invited the work to be presented for the Beijing Dance Festival 2012.

For BDF, this lyrical and emotional dance work will be performed by 13 LDTX dancers. The full evening’s program will also include a new work Sorrowful Song by LDTX’s Artistic Director Li Hanzhong as well as a brand new piece to be choreographed by Janis Claxton which will merge both companies – JCD and LDTX - performing together for the first time.

The Beijing Dance Festival is an international dance festival held annually in Beijing, China. Together with the Guangdong Modern Dance Festival in Guangzhou, China Dance Forward in Hong Kong, the Beijing Dance Festival forms the biggest nation-wide contemporary dance platform aiming to promote creativity and exchange. Organized by Beijing Dance/LDTX, the next Festival will take place July 15-29, 2012 in Beijing.
