这是Foster事务所首度将他们历年的作品带入中国。展览呈现了多个正在中国开展的项目细节。其中包括：南京全新的杭州中信银行总部大楼和上海的万通房产开发项目。同时，将有机会目睹那些已竣工的高端项目的初始模型和草稿，例如：北京国际机场第三航站楼、法国米洛高架桥、纽约赫斯特大厦和位于伦敦的瑞士再保险公司总部。

“Foster+Partners：建筑之艺术”的举办也为了庆贺Foster事务所上海办公室的设立。上海的办公室位于中山南路久事大厦内 ，而该大厦正是Foster事务设计的杰作，更是中国第一栋已落成的英国建筑公司设计项目。

虽说电脑变革了设计师的工作方式，但草图表现和模型制作仍旧至关重要。展览引导着参观者直观而深入地了解事务所的工作，通过草图和模型的展现，与观众一起探讨从初次业主会议到项目完成，直至建筑投入使用，囊括整个建筑建造过程的研究。

Art of Architecture: Fosters and Partners

Venue: Shanghai Oil Painting and Sculpture Institute Art Museum

This is the first major survey of Foster Studio’s work to be held in China. It features a number of new projects underway in the region – a headquarters for CITIC Bank in Hangzhou, a new tower in Nanjing and the Vantone development in Shanghai. To highlight the incredible diversity of the practice’s work, there are also original models and sketches for high-profile completed buildings, such as Beijing International Airport Terminal 3, the Millau Viaduct in France, Hearst Tower in New York and the Swiss Re headquarters in London.

The exhibition is also timed to celebrate the recent opening of the studio’s Shanghai office, which is based in the Jiushi Building on South Zhongshan Road – a tower designed by the practice and the first project to be completed by a British firm of architects in China.

While the computer has revolutionised the way designers work, the language of drawing and model-making still plays an important role. The exhibition offers visitors a unique insight into the workings of the studio, with a display of sketches and scale models, and a special exhibit exploring the design process from initial client meeting to completed building and post-occupancy studies.
