Thumbstopper refers to an eye-catching or compelling item that makes a person stop scrolling through a list of posts, particularly when using the thumb to scroll a touchscreen device.

“划屏终结者”指的就是一个引人注目的产品或新闻，让人们在不断点击新鲜话题的过程中停下脚步关注到，特别是在他们在用手指划屏下拉时。

A lots of news have become the thumbstopper, from Malaysia Airlines plane crash a while ago to the official investigation recently, or the box office star the Tiny Times 3 and the celebrities taking drugs.
