中央宣传部（国务院新闻办公室）会同中央党史和文献研究院、中国外文局编辑的《习近平谈治国理政》第三卷，由中国外文局所属外文出版社以中英文版出版，面向海内外发行。这是一部全面系统反映习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想的权威著作。

中国翻译研究院重点翻译任务统筹工作机制与外文出版社合作，围绕重要概念范畴表述的中英文表达，推出双语对照版，供业界及相关人员参考。

坚持以人民为中心（一）

1.以人民为中心的发展思想

译文：The aspiration of the people to live a better life must always be the focus of our efforts. We must remain committed to the people-centered philosophy of development, strive to guarantee and improve living standards, make steady progress towards enhancing our people’s sense of gain, happiness and security, and realize common prosperity for all our people. 2.人民当家作主

· the people’s position/status as masters of the country

3.人民主体地位

译文：We must base our efforts on the interests of the people, ensure the principal status of the people, humbly learn from the people, listen to their voices, and draw on their wisdom. We must ensure that the basic criterion of our work is whether we have the people’s support, acceptance, satisfaction and approval. We must focus our efforts on addressing the most pressing, immediate issues that concern the people the most. We must also ensure that all Chinese people share the happiness and pride stemming from the historic course of national rejuvenation. 4.立党为公、执政为民

· (the Party’s commitment to) building itself for the public good and exercising power for the people
· (the Party’s commitment to) serving the public good and exercising power in the interests of the people
