日常，我们可能会用“a trip/tour at public expense”来形容“公费（款）旅游”，不过，外电中的“tourist junket/junket”更侧重指“政府官员拿公款旅游（a trip/tour made by an official at public expense）”。

“Junket”本是一种“乳冻干酪”（如图），后引申指“郊游、旅游、社交聚会”。现代意义上的“junket”更常用来形容“公司行政人员/政府官员的公费旅游”。

此外，在国外娱乐报刊杂志上，“junket”一词出现的频率也特高。“A movie junket”或“a film's press junket”常用来形容“电影上映之前举行的记者招待会”（如图 ）。
