Atlas是希腊神话中的大力神，浩瀚的大西洋的名字the Atlantic Ocean也是从Atlas的名字来的，其中的Atlantic就是Atlas的形容词，意思是“巨大无比的”。

Coldplay（酷玩乐队）是英国摇滚乐坛进入新世纪之后崛起的最受欢迎的摇滚乐队之一，他们秉承了英式摇滚乐队一贯的Britpop/Alternative Rock英伦风格，成为了英国新一代乐队中的杰出代表。Coldplay有四个成员，主唱、吉他、键盘Chris Martin，贝斯手Guy Berryman，首席吉他手Jonny Buckland，和鼓手Will Champion。四人1996年时在UCL（University College London）相遇，两年后决定合组此乐团。Coldplay乐队成军之后的每一张专辑都不断进步，一步一步地扩大他们的影响，目前他们正处于事业的快速上升期。
