A total of 28 Primetime Emmy Awards, especially those involvingmade-for-television movies and miniseries that were previously excluded from the live broadcast, will be presented live by CBS television during the Sept. 20 event, according to a report on the Dailynews website.

艾美奖是美国电视界的权威奖项，为什么要为电影颁奖呢？原来这个made-for-television movie（电视电影）是a feature film that is produced for and originally distributed by a television network（为电视制作，最初也在电视上播放的电影长片），也被称为telemovie或者telefilm。文中的miniseries也被称为“迷你剧”，指的是篇幅较短的电视剧。

在prime-time slot（黄金时段）播出的long-running television series（长篇连续剧）通常television ratings（收视率）较高，而一些观众则喜欢看documentary film（纪录片）。一些企业还会制作television special（专题片）来宣传企业形象。
