最高人民检察院日前下发的《人民检察院办理不起诉案件质量标准（试行）》规定，检查院不能使用通过逼供、拷问或暴力获得的证据。近年来，一些地方出现了检察院使用违法证据导致错误起诉的案件。

这里的“forced confessions”指的就是逼供。“Confession”是“供认”的意思，“forced”是“强迫的”的意思，强迫你供认也就是逼供了。

“逼供”用作动词时就可以说“to force a confession”或者“to abtain a confession by force”了。

此外，比较常见的与“forced”连用组成的词组有：forced landing（迫降）、forced collection（强制性捐款）等。
