JailbreakThe company’s first quarter was described as a “jailbreak” by a few analysts because all of Citrix’s products took off.

My comments:

A good description. And a good question.

Jailbreak refers to the incident where prisoners stage an uprising, flee from their cells and escape the prison. You can imagine the pandemonium, a chaotic scene with inmates running off in all directions.

Yes, very wild. Everything out of control.

Hence, when Citrix’s first quarter results were described thus, it means the company’s production and sales were high and wild, exceeding everyone’s wildest expectations.

All its products, as the latter part of the sentence further explains, took off – took off, that is, like airplanes.
