吸烟有害健康，而一些吸烟者只在社交场合吸上几支，他们不会上瘾，也不是为了缓解紧张情绪，这就是“社交吸烟者”。

Chipper refers to a person who smokes cigarettes only occasionally; a social smoker.
“社交吸烟者”指的是偶尔吸烟的人，一般是在社交场合。

Chippers are able to smoke just a few cigarettes regularly but never become pack-a-day smokers.
“社交吸烟者”能够做到定期吸几支烟，而从不会变成大烟枪。

Rather than smoking because they feel pressured or tense, chippers usually smoke because they are happy or are enjoying themselves, for instance at a party.
“社交吸烟者”吸烟不是因为感到压力大或者紧张，通常他们吸烟是因为很高兴或者很享受，比如在派对上。
