Authority reins in overseas artistic performances to curb publicity stunts

文化部限制国内艺术团体出国“镀金”

China's cultural authority in July has restricted domestic artistic troupes from performing at famous venues abroad, as many such events are deemed to be publicity stunts rather than in pursuit of artistic merit.

针对许多国内艺术团体纯粹以“镀金”为目的赴海外著名剧院演出的行为，7月，中国文化部发通知称将对此严格控制。
