远程交流时代,就算相隔千里、万里,两个人也能通过网络会面,距离在网络面前显得不那么重要了。由此而来的结果是,人与人面对面的face time越来越少了。
Ambitious workers used to fight for face time with the boss. Salespeople wanted more face time with customers. In these days of telecommuting, face time takes on an expanded meaning. It’s the time that telecommuters physically meet the co-workers they normally interact with through e-mail, chat or video-conferencing.
志向远大的员工会努力争取与老板面会的时间。销售人员希望能跟客户有更多面会时间。在远程交流的时代,面会时间(face time)的含义得到进一步扩展,指平时主要通过邮件、聊天软件或者视频会议跟同事交流的远程工作族跟同事真正面对面交流的时间。
