Look like a billionaire
Ma Yun, the founder of internet giant Alibaba is a billionaire who's company taobao.com recently facilitated one of the biggest retail days in history, so it seems unlikely he's moonlighting as a security guard in Chengdu. However the internet has recently gone wild for pictures of Ke Quanshou, a Sichuan security guard with a remarkable resemblance to the businessman.
It's not the first time a Ma Yun look-a-like has caused a stir online, with the billionaire being compared to a character in Lord of the Rings, Gollum, and a Picasso painting. Some of the comparison's are a little cruel, with many people saying Ma does not fit conventional ideas of attractiveness. Ma has laughed off such comments, and recently posted a series of pictures of his look-a-likes on Weibo. In one photo caption Ma wrote that "Only when you are true to yourself can you be truly happy." Wise words, Mr Ma.
Fear of spiders
When residents in a suburb of Sydney, Australia heard one of their neighbours screaming in the middle of the night, they were understandably concerned. Calls to the police followed and when the authorities arrived, they could hear a man screaming, "I'm going to kill you! You're dead! Die! Die!" and a series of high pitched screams. The door was answered by a flustered looking man and police insisted he tell them what he had done to the woman they could hear screaming. The man protested he lived alone but police didn't believe him, "Come on mate," the coppers said. "People clearly heard you yelling you were going to kill her and furniture being thrown around, what have you done to her?"
Suddenly the man became very sheepish and the full story came out. He hadn't been yelling at a woman, but a particularly scary spider, and those high pitched screams? They were from the man himself, who had to admit, that when is comes to spiders, he's a bit of a scaredy cat.
Ancient secrets
Radar scans of King Tutankhamun's final resting place in the Valley of the King's in Egypt has indicated the tomb could contain secret chambers and, possibly, another hidden tomb.
Having watched a lot of Indiana Jones films, here at The Week we are predicting the hidden chambers contain a series of ancient booby traps set by a secret society that lives deep underground. The increasingly complex riddles can only be solved by a daring professor, a pretty girl and a plucky kid, but they will triumph victorious over seemingly insurmountable odds! Experts however, are suggesting the hidden rooms could contain the long lost tomb of Queen Nefertiti, which is also pretty cool.
