Like Christmas, Easter is one of the times of year when parents eagerly plans surprises for their children.

复活节象征着重生与希望,为纪念耶稣基督于公元30到33年之间被钉死在十字架之后第三天复活的日子。
如何庆祝复活节?
复活节前夕,孩子们会和家人一起给鸡蛋着色打扮一番。这些蛋有的煮得很老,有的只是空空的蛋壳。复活节那天早上,孩子们会发现床前的复活节篮子里装满了巧克力彩蛋、复活节小兔子、有绒毛的小鸡及娃娃玩具等。人们也常常绘声绘色地给孩子们讲复活节彩蛋是兔子下的,并把彩蛋放在花园里,让孩子们玩找蛋游戏。在欧美国家还会举行滚彩蛋的传统活动。
现在每逢复活节,美国大小糖果店总要出售用巧克力制成的复活节小兔和彩蛋。这些彩蛋小的和鸡蛋差不多,大的有甜瓜那么大,孩子们吃起来津津有味。复活节的传统食品是肉食,主要有羊肉和火腿。
复活节彩蛋怎么来的?
十二世纪时,人们在复活节节庆中加入鸡蛋,此蛋多涂以红色,也有绘成彩色和笑脸。故一般称之为“复活节彩蛋”。蛋的原始象征意义为“春天——新生命的开始”。基督徒则用来象征“耶稣复活,走出石墓”。复活节彩蛋是复活节里最重要的食物象征,意味着生命的开始与延续。
现代生活中的复活蛋通常使用蛋状的巧克力代替,不再是单纯的装饰品,而是一种在复活节前后最畅销的食品。
复活节为什么有兔子?
复活兔起源于异教的复活节。当时,耶稣的世俗象征是一个兔子,并被盎格鲁撒克逊人供奉着。作为多产动物的兔子,复活节兔象征了春天的复苏和新生命的诞生。在现代兔子被认为是给孩子们送复活节彩蛋的使者。据说复活节兔子会将彩蛋藏在室内或是草地里让孩子们去寻找。
