Proposal with lychees

Hundreds of lychees became part of a marriage proposal for a man surnamed Dong, from Xi'an, Shaanxi province. Dong placed lychees, for which he paid more than 2,000 yuan, in a heart pattern on a pedestrian bridge and waited for the woman. Dong knelt on one knee and asked the woman: "will you marry me? I love you sincerely, although I have no house, car or much money. " "You are too childish," the woman said and then turned to leave.

How much did the man pay for the lychees?

A. More than 1,000 yuan

B. More than 2,000 yuan

C. More than 3,000 yuan
