Abel Tesfaye，1990年2月16日出生在加拿大安大略士嘉伯，有埃塞俄比亚血统的加拿大歌手，制作人，以艺名The Weeknd而被人们所熟知。从小Tesfaye便受到了多种音乐风格的熏陶，灵魂，嘻哈，放克，独立摇滚以及朋克都对他产生了很大的影响。2013年，The Weeknd发行了自己的首张录音室专辑《Kiss Land》。知名MTV记者John Norris称赞他为“Songbird of the generation”并将他比作“Best musical talent since Michael Jackson”。
