Aussie swimmer Dawn Fraser, who won freestyle golds at three consecutive games, was given a 10-year ban in 1964 after drunkenly swimming a moat to steal an Olympic flag from outside Emperor Hirohito's palace. She was named Australian of the year.
澳大利亚游泳选手道恩•弗雷泽曾在连续三届奥运会上获得自由泳金牌。1964年她醉酒后游过护城河，去偷取日本天皇裕仁宫殿外的奥林匹克旗帜，因此被判处禁赛10年。她被评为澳大利亚年度人物。

In 1900, in France, winners got paintings instead of gold medals. Gold, silver and bronze medals weren't given out until the third modern Olympics, in 1904. The French gave the winners paintings because they believed they were more valuable.
