神舟十一号载人飞船发射成功

北京时间10月17日7时49分，执行与天宫二号交会对接任务的神舟十一号载人飞船，在酒泉卫星发射中心发射升空后准确进入预定轨道，顺利将2名航天员送上太空。

10月17日早晨，我国发射神舟十一号载人飞船，将2名航天员送上太空。

The spacecraft was sent skyward at 7:30 am atop a Long March 2F rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Northwest China. It is carrying two male astronauts – 49-year-old Jing Haipeng and 37-year-old Chen Dong.
神舟十一号飞船是当天早晨7点30分在甘肃酒泉卫星发射中心搭载长征2F火箭发射升空的，搭载的两名航天员分别是49岁的景海鹏和37岁的陈冬。

After the launch, the spacecraft will travel two days before docking with the Tiangong II, which was lifted from the Jiuquan center in mid-September. Then the astronauts will enter the space lab and stay there for 30 days, which will be the longest space stay by Chinese astronauts.
飞船发射升空后将飞行两天，然后与9月中旬升空的天宫二号对接。之后，航天员将进入天宫二号空间实验室生活30天，这也是中国航天员在太空生活时间最长的一次。

To dock with就是“与…对接”，这个过程就叫space docking（空间对接）或rendezvous and docking（交会对接），指两个以上航天器在指定的轨道上按预定的时间和空间相会，相会后连接成一个整体。Rendezvous一词来自于法语，指“（在约定地点）相会、会合”，如：I decided to keep my rendezvous with Tony. （我决定如约和汤尼会面。）

神舟十一号载人飞船（Shenzhou XI manned spacecraft）的两大核心任务是：为天宫二号在轨运营提供人员和物资天地往返运输服务，进一步考核载人天地往返运输系统的功能和性能，特别是空间站运行轨道的交会对接技术（to test rendezvous and docking technologies for the country's planned space station）；与天宫二号空间实验室对接后完成航天员中期驻留试验，考核组合体对航天员生活、工作和健康的保障能力，以及航天员执行飞行任务的能力（to verify the life-support capability of the spacecraft-space lab combination as well as conduct scientific research and test engineering experiments）。

2011年9月发射的“天宫一号”和今年9月发射的“天宫二号”都是无人驾驶舱（unmanned module），它们既是空间交会对接的目标飞行器（target spacecraft），又是简易的空间实验室（spacelab）。在这样的平台进行各类空间实验室的技术试验后，中国计划在2022年建成永久载人空间站（permanent manned space station）。

飞船发射成功后，正在印度出席金砖国家领导人第八次会晤的中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平第一时间发来贺电。贺电要点如下：

天宫二号和神舟十一号载人飞行任务，将首次实现我国航天员中期在轨驻留。
The mission of the orbiting space lab Tiangong-2 and the Shenzhou-11 manned spacecraft marks the first time that Chinese astronauts will stay in orbit for medium term.

开展一批体现国际科学前沿和高新技术发展方向的空间科学与应用任务，标志着我国载人航天工程取得了新的重大进展。
Tasks of space science and application representing the frontier science and the future of high technology will be conducted during the mission, which symbolizes that China's manned space program has registered new and significant progresses.

希望同志们不断开创载人航天事业发展新局面，使中国人探索太空的脚步迈得更大更远，为建设航天强国作出新的贡献。
