Robin Campillo was one of the screenwriters for 2008's Palme d'Or winner The Class; this year the Moroccan-born French filmmaker makes his directorial debut at Cannes with 120 Beats Per Minute. Set in the early 1990s, when HIV was still little known and understood, the film follows a group of activists who fought government inaction and public indifference to the virus under the slogan "Silence = Death".
罗宾•坎皮略是2008年金棕榈奖获奖影片《课室风云》的编剧之一;今年,这位摩洛哥出生的法国电影人凭借《每分钟120击》首次以导演身份亮相戛纳电影节。故事背景设定在上世纪90年代初,当时人们对HIV还知之甚少,影片讲述了一群社会活动家高举“沉默=死亡”的标语,抗议政府对HIV的不作为以及公众的冷漠。
