Thankfully, he didn't... I didn't rush to see Brokeback, it's just not my deal..."

The National Enquirer later reported Wahlberg turned down the film on advice from his priest. Both of Brokeback's eventual stars, Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal, scored Oscar nods for their performances.
